Series Overview
ATS48 is a legacy soft-starter series with a large installed base, making it relevant for MRO spare-part identification and migration assessment to ATS480.
Part-number Structure & Selection Notes
The D/C/M letters and subsequent numbers of ATS48 together indicate the rated-current class; suffixes such as Q/Y are related to the voltage/region configuration. The complete ordering code must be retained for both purchase and migration of legacy part numbers.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Has the ATS48 been discontinued?
Several regions have entered the out-of-production/service phase; lifecycle status has regional differences. The complete part number and destination market should be checked before purchasing.
Can ATS48 be directly replaced by ATS480?
Schneider provides model mapping and replacement manuals for ATS48→ATS480, but the mechanical, electrical, parameters, communication, etc. still need to be checked item by item on site and cannot be directly replaced based on the current number.
How do you understand the D and C in the ATS48 model?
D/C/M in Schneider's ATS48 encoding is related to the current digit, for example, D17 is 17A and C17 is 170A; formal procurement is still subject to the complete reference.
What else can I do if I can’t find the original ATS48?
The three paths of channel inventory, repair spare parts and ATS480 migration can be evaluated at the same time, with priority being given to checking the original nameplate and application conditions.
