E3Z is a widely installed OMRON rectangular photoelectric-sensor family covering diffuse-reflective, through-beam, retro-reflective and distance-set variants. Selection requires the sensing method, NPN/PNP output and connection type.

Part-number Structure & Selection Notes

Do not use the simple rule of "mantissa 1=NPN, 2=PNP" to judge E3Z. Taking the current common DC models as an example, D61/D62 is NPN, D81/D82 is PNP; T61/T62 is NPN, and T81/T82 is PNP. When selecting, you need to confirm the detection method, detection distance, output type, connection method and power supply at the same time. Common power supplies for standard DC types are 12–24VDC ±10%.
