Part-number Structure & Selection Notes
The CJ series CPU part-number suffix determines program capacity, EtherNet/IP and other functions. CJ1M belongs to the earlier installed-base; CJ2M/CJ2H continues the CJ architecture and expands performance. Repair purchases must be verified against the complete CPU part number.

Are CJ1M and CJ2M fully compatible?
CJ2M continues the CJ series architecture and emphasizes compatibility, but actual replacement still requires checking the CPU, special unit, program, communication and firmware versions.
What is the difference between CJ2M-CPU31 and CPU11?
CPU31/32/33/34/35 series have built-in EtherNet/IP; CPU11/12/13/14/15 does not use this as the default built-in network configuration. Please check the network requirements when selecting.
Can I still inquire about legacy part numbers like CJ1M-CPU23?
Inquiries available as MRO models; actual inventory and lifecycle to be confirmed on a model-by-model basis, while CJ2 or other successor platforms may be evaluated.
Is it enough to only provide CPU models?
If you only want to verify the price of spare parts, you can provide the CPU model first; if you want to do a complete migration, you will also need an I/O/special unit list, communication network, and program engineering information.
